Happy New Year Graeme! We have much to share with each other. My Grandfather , Myron Melnik, was born in Killi-Kiev, which seems to be just east of your families village. My Grandmother was from eastern side of Ukraine in the Kharkiv area. They met in the Saskatoon, Sask. wheat growing region about 1919. There is a great epic story from both sides. They were killed by the Klu Klux Klan in 1935. With the firebombing of the farm all their history was destroyed. One of my life missions is to rediscover and write their Biographies.
