Well written Sakshi. Americans have lost touch with the actual processes of legislation and have confused strong partisan opinion with wisdom. I had the opportunity to help propose a bill in our state legislature last month. While ours is a simple agricultural bill the dialogue and contention it has unleashed is remarkable. Ultimately, it was impossible to enagage any sort of partisanship. Legislation is about losing most of your good ideas to compromise and collabration. There are no clean clear solutions. There are no clean clear positions. There is ONLY compromise in the search for common good. And to compromise is to not use any method we wirness in the popular media. Every American should attempt to contribute their effort to the proposition, negiotiation, and development of a single bill. You will never look at the world in the same tone or color again. Your opinion is worthless, your work is priceless. Go do it.
Your village is depending on it.
